Partnerships for Financial Inclusion invites community members, organizations, researchers, and practitioners to the first Community of Practice event on August 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM EDT. The free webinar, Creating Participatory Architecture: The Opportunities and Challenges of Inclusive Governance, will be presented by Madeline Toubiana (University of Ottawa) and Natalie Eng (University of Alberta).

The session will explore participatory governance models as grassroots approaches that help organizations and communities share decision-making and work together toward common goals. The session will also serve as a starting point for developing a governance structure for the Financial Inclusion & Resilience Movement (FIRM).
